A hearing to discuss strict security requirements at night clubs and entertainment venues was postponed Tuesday night, but that didn’t stop people from lining up to protest them. Moments before the scheduled hearing, Entertainment Commission President John Newlin said Mayor Ed Lee wanted “further analysis and study” before a decision and had requested the postponement.
WISH-TV reports that 43-year-old Ronald Andre Harrod and 23-year-old Larry Lee Richardson of Indianapolis wore police-type uniforms and gun belts as they escorted Lil Wayne to a Bloomington nightclub Wednesday.

Barbara Gibbons is a single mother with a small child. Though Gibbons works as a security guard for Valley Protective Services, making ends meet has been difficult."We're getting paid late, we're not getting paid, we're getting (paychecks) issues nonsufficient funds," said Gibbons. "I'm behind in my rent, I have no gas in my truck."
These services can be broadly described as the protection of personnel and/or assets. Other security services such as roving patrol, bodyguard, and guard dog services are also included, but are a very small portion of the industry.
