CALSAGA is thrilled to announce that new BSIS Deputy Chief Connie Trujillo has been added to the agenda as part of our upcoming seminar, “Behind the Scenes: An In-Depth Look at the Process of California Legislation”. The seminar is scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 at the Pasadena Hilton from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The cost for members to attend is $40 and $50 for non-members. Click here to download the invitation that was mailed to all members earlier this week.
Do you ever wonder how a bill really becomes law? This seminar, lead by Association Manager Jeff Flint and CALSAGA lobbyist Kelly Jensen, will illustrate how the legislative process works, how CALSAGA represents you in the Capitol and how your involvement can help strengthen the voice of our Association and industry with the Legislature.
As mentioned above, Deputy Chief Connie Trujillo will round out the seminar and discuss the various ways the State budget deficit impacts BSIS – from funding for outreach and enforcement agents to hindering their legislative agenda to bring greater professionalism to the industry. BSIS Outreach Coordinator Rolando Taeza will also be on hand to field any questions you might have.
To register, call our office at (916) 930-0552 or email Marycon Razo at mrazo@calsaga.org. As the case with all of our events, this seminar is an excellent educational and networking opportunity for members.
We look forward to seeing everyone there!
