Security guard shot in St. Louis club - Belleville News Democrat

A security guard working at the Broadway East night club on Broadway in East St. Louis was shot in the leg early Sunday morning.  According to police, the security guard was a private duty guard hired by the club. He was not armed.

FQ Training and permit

A security officer in my office building in the Los Angeles area wants to obtain her FQ permit. She has shopped around and has been told that the training and permit will cost about $450.00. This seems a little high to me, but it may be well in line with the industry standard.

Armed robber shot by security guard - WKYT, Kentucky

An armed man who attempted to rob an Irvine grocery store was reportedly shot and killed by the armed security guard at the store.  Sources tell 27 NEWSFIRST the man entered the store sometime after seven o'clock Sunday evening. It's not yet clear if he was involved in any sort of altercation with store employees prior to the shooting.

Two convicted in phony security guard heist - Washington Examiner

Two Maryland men were found guilty late Friday in a brazen bank heist in which robbers posed as security guards and the teller helped with the crime.  David Paul Mbom, 39, of Catonsville, and Robert T. Tataw, 43, of Windsor Mill, were found guilty of bank larceny and conspiracy to steal more than a half-million dollars from a BB&T bank in Wheaton earlier this year. The defendants face a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison followed by three years of supervised release.
