City officials have hired a security guard to monitor parking lots at the Glendale Sports Complex after six vehicle break-ins in the past four months at the park.

Security guards at Valley River Center are riding Segway Personal Transporters at the Eugene mall.  On foot, it takes them 15 minutes to walk through the mall. On the Segway, that time is cut in half.
