Security guard struck by car, fires shots - C & G Newspapers, Detroit

A security guard at a café near 13 Mile and Ryan fired two shots after he was struck by a vehicle in a parking lot following an altercation late on Aug. 13


Port Security: Officials to hire 21 new guards - Corpus Christi (TX) Caller-Times

Officials at the Port of Corpus Christi seek to replaces 21 contract security officers with in house security after complaining of poor service.  The private security providers insists any instances were isolated.


Taser fired at man holding newborn
- Dallas Morning News, also covered in the Associated Press via the Sun-Times

An off-duty police officer in Dallas fired his Taser at a father carrying a newborn out of a hospital after the man was belligerent to hospital staff and threatened hospital security officers.
